How to choose glass screen printing materials?
1. Glass suitable for printing can be cut into regular or irregular shapes according to user requirements, then chamfered, ground, cleaned, dried, and ready for use. Special attention should be paid here that there should be no water stains on the surface of the glass.
2. The selection of screen printing for glass printing is the same as for general screen printing plates. Synthetic fiber screen, stainless steel screen, and natural fiber screen are used for glass screen printing. When printing general pigments, the above-mentioned screens can be used, and generally inexpensive synthetic fiber screens are selected; When used as gold and silver decoration, stainless steel wire mesh cannot be chosen. The specifications of the wire mesh are generally 270-300 mesh.
3. The selection of mesh frame is currently more formal, and the mesh frame with little deformation is aluminum alloy mesh frame. Its size should be larger than the pattern, and the specific size should be between 70-100mm from the outer edge of the pattern to the mesh frame. Additionally, when choosing a mesh frame, its strength is crucial, and the key is sufficient rigidity in the horizontal direction.
4. The wire mesh and mesh frame were chosen for the stretch mesh, and the combination of the two is called the stretch mesh. There are many ways to stretch the screen, including manual, motorized, and pneumatic methods. Currently, the most advanced method that can stretch high-quality screens is the pneumatic stretching machine. The requirements for stretching the net are uniform tension, keeping the warp and weft lines of the net perpendicular, and ensuring that the adhesive is firm and not loose.
