Quartz glass is made by melting various pure natural quartz (such as crystal, quartz sand, etc.). The coefficient of linear expansion is extremely small, which is 1/10~1/20 of ordinary glass and has good thermal shock resistance. It has high heat resistance, with a regular usage temperature of 1100 ℃~1200 ℃ and a short-term usage temperature of up to 1400 ℃. Quartz glass is mainly used in laboratory equipment and extraction equipment for special high-purity products. Due to its high spectral transmission, it is not damaged by radiation (other glass will darken when exposed to radiation), making it an ideal glass for spacecraft, wind tunnel windows, and spectrophotometer optical systems. Product features :1. Structural characteristics: This is the most intuitive difference, depending on the shape of the two refractive surfaces of the lens (spherical or non spherical): · Convex lens: thick in the middle and thin at the edges. ·Concave lens: thin in the middle and thick at the edges. ·Columnar lens: It has curvature in a specific direction and is commonly used in raster stereoscopic printing or distorted widescreen movie lenses. 2. Optical properties (core characteristics) · Refraction of light: The basis of lens operation is the refraction of light when passing through different media. The refractive index of a lens depends on the material (such as crown glass, flint glass, or plastic). ·Focus and focal length: Each lens has a focus (F) and focal length (f). Convex lenses have a real focal point, while concave lenses have a virtual focal point. The convergence or divergence ability of a lens is expressed in terms of optical power, also known as “degree”. ·Color difference: Due to the different refractive indices of light of different colors (wavelengths) in glass, colored stripes may appear at the edges when white light is imaged through a lens. To eliminate this characteristic (disadvantage), lenses with different refractive indices are usually combined together to make achromatic lenses. 3. The reversibility of light path is reversible. If the light source is placed at the focal point of a convex lens, the emitted light will become parallel light after passing through the lens (such as the principle of flashlights and searchlights). 4. Imaging characteristics and virtuality: It can be formed into a real image (formed by the convergence of actual light rays, which can be absorbed by a light screen) or a virtual image (formed by the convergence of reverse extension lines of light rays). ·Upright and size: The size, forward and backward, and virtual and real of an image depend on the distance between the object and the lens (object distance).
